Changing the Assessment Type

Totem instance administrators or users with the Owner role may update their organization properties, including the Assessment Type. The Assessment Type refers to the cybersecurity framework currently loaded in a Totem organization. Customers with an Enhanced or Engaged subscription may toggle between frameworks at any time. Customers with an Essentials subscription are limited to CMMC Level 1 only.

To change your Assessment Type:

  • Log in to Totem.
  • Navigate to the Manage module. By default, you’ll arrive on the Properties page.
  • Navigate to the Assessment Type field. At this time, Totem supports the following Assessment Types:
    • CMMC
    • NIST 800-171 rev. 3
    • ISO 27001:2022
    • HIPAA 405d
  • Select your desired Assessment Type, then scroll to the bottom and choose Update Organization. Navigate to the Control Status module and see that your control set (Assessment Type) has changed.
